Rescue and recovery workers returning from New Orleans say they've found a shocking number of victims who died - not from Hurricane Katrina's floodwaters - but from gunshot wounds and other forms of violence apparently inflicted by gangs who terrorized the city after the storm struck.......

Blind evacuee reunited with guide dog
KHOU-TV
James and Jacob were clearly thrilled to be reunited.Volunteers at the church shelter have helped James Mercadel find everything from new clothes to a new cane. But what the blind man needed most was an old dog ...

Here in Fort Worth twin sisters who became separated were reunited. There are some heart warming stories out there no doubt.
Another couple fell in love and married.
Im am happy for them.
I want the criminals brought to Texas sent back, in body bags.
You think the media is truthful?
The media ...I search out several sources...and make sure they aren't all using unnamed sources. The media has been hysterical in reporting this disaster and helped create hysteria..IMO.
One of the big problems where evacuee were in large numbers..like Houston, was rumor..They spread like wildfire.
Maybe they were gun owners taking target practice on already-dead corpses so they would be better shooters when the looters come to visit.
"You think the media is truthful?"
Generally, no.
But they couldnt pull a conspiracy off involving dozen of 1st hand reports that Ive read. Some from foreigners who were trapped there.
And do we really have any reason to doubt that the criminal element practically took over New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina? I honestly dont.
Do you consider all the stories part of the media anti Bush conspiracy?

There seem to be freepers who don't understand that. I guess some have short memories.
I think because there were SOME horrifying stories the media became hysterical and reported rumours as fact.
This is no rumor. I live here.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - A hurricane refugee is accused of trying to abduct a 14-year-old girl after she got off her school bus.
28-year-old Glenn E. Holloway of New Orleans was charged with unlawful restraint of a person younger than age 17.
The high-school freshman told police a man approached her Monday afternoon at the bus stop, then started chasing her as she ran toward her Fort Worth apartment.
Police Lieutenant Dean Sullivan says the suspect grabbed her from behind but she broke free. She called her mother on her cell phone and then called police, saying a man with a stick was chasing her through her family's apartment complex.
The girl was able to slip into her apartment and keep her younger siblings quiet. She wasn't injured. Sullivan says police captured the man about ten minutes after the girl called 911.
Holloway and his mother arrived at a shelter in Fort Worth after fleeing Hurricane Katrina. They recently were placed in temporary housing near the school bus stop.

Move along, nothing to see here..
Police find 57 evacuees in Colorado have felony criminal records:
When the evacuees arrived at Denver International Airport without identifications, Aurora Police began collecting names, social security numbers and did background checks. Sex offenders slip radar
La. loses track of predators in stream of evacuations
The evacuation and relocation of people from Louisiana parishes that Hurricane Katrina hit the hardest have potentially put as many as 3,000 registered sex offenders and sexual predators in new places.
In addition, an unknown number of the state's 62,606 adult probationers and parolees are now unsupervised as a result of the hurricane.

"Look............are we talking about NO or where you live? I'M talking about NO."
Im talking about crime being exported to my home state and others. later.
I obviously wasn't. And it WAS obvious. I've read some of your other posts and you buy into every rumour the media hysterically spews.Do you have invisible bodies stacked in freezers there too?
Since you want to mix apples and oranges I'll agree with you...later indeed.
Denial is a safer and happier place, enjoy your warm and fuzzy stay there.
You claim the reports of refugee crime are all rumors, then you claim the articles linked to prove such are part of an anti Bush conspiracy.
check your own freezer for criminals holding hands and singing kumbayaa.
I never claimed any such thing. I was posting about NEW ORLEANS hence the La State Trooper alert. Try reading my posts. If you can't see them from under your bed, I suggest a flashlight.
Liberals have spent a lot of compassion understanding the criminals, gangsta's, and predators. Maybe it's time for them to spend a little time understanding the victims...
