Effort to close Able Danger Hearings

"Bush personally selected the members for this commission..."

The Democrat Leader in the Senate, Tom Daschle, selected the members from the Dem side of the aisle. Where did you get the idea that Bush picked everyone on the commission. That is not true, and couldn't possibly be true. In fact, didn't the Republican Leadership select the Republicans on the Commission, or at least play a role along with the President?

I am not sure about that, but I am absolutely sure that President Bush did not pick the Democrats.

I remember hearing Scheaffer, during an early interview, saying that the documents were kept in more than one location...and it shocked me when he said he knew part of them were in Garland, Texas...

I used to live in Garland, so I remember that spot specifically...

Another whitewash on the way. I predict the cumulative effect of all the Bush administration's and republicans seemingley tireless efforts to protect Klintonistas like Burger, leaving the borders open, not getting judges though (gang of 14 idiots), spending like drunken sailors, and now this latest effort to close the hearings will either cause conservatives like me to stay home by the millions or cause another "throw the Bums out" election like 94. Quite frankly, I have just about had it with our government.

Not quite what happened. Clinton dismissed all US Attorneys and appointed his own, democrats in most cases. While he did not fire all the appointed lawyers in DoJ he made his lap-dog Webb Hubble the Deputy Attorney General to Janet Reno. Hubble as it turned out was the "funnel" clinton used to direct prosecutions against the clintons' enemies and to stop anything that could hurt him or his party. There was a similar "funnel" at IRS used to initiate audits of those who spoke against the clintons. There was an attempt to suppress foreign intelligence collection because it detected clinton soliciting and receiving foreign money....all very much like the Russian Politburo used to do in the days of the USSR.

If I remember correctly, Alamo-Girl posted information out of Indonesia about pilots flying planes into buildings, or a threat about many planes into many buildings. This was in 98, or 99. I'm sure it is in her DSL. We all read the information and thought they were crazy, that no one would ever fly a plane into a building. How could they kill themselves and so many others.
