Sam Neill blames Bush for disaster
Actor Sam Neill has blamed President Bush's economic policies for contributing to the disaster that engulfed Louisiana when Hurricane Katrina hit, reports The Associated Press.
In a speech Wednesday night attacking New Zealand opposition leader Don Brash ahead of the country's general elections on Saturday, Neill, a supporter of the ruling Labour Party, compared tax cuts proposed by Brash to Bush's election pledges in 2000.
'Perhaps we should look at somewhere else where they recently used the time-old bribe of tax cuts, and see how it worked. In 2000 George Bush, under the reasonable sounding `compassionate conservatism,' offered huge tax cuts. And he delivered,'' Neill told an audience in Oamaru, 200 miles east of his home and vineyard on New Zealand's South Island.
''Take a look at America now. The rich are certainly richer, but the economy is in the tank, a healthy surplus has been converted into a massive deficit, and the U.S. is a place that cannot even afford the basics. Like maintaining levees in low-lying Louisiana. Might I suggest that tax cuts led indirectly to the flooding of New Orleans?'' Neill added.

It was just great. I may watch it again. However, after looking Neill up on the Internet, I discovered him to be very active in socialist politics in New Zealand. What a disappointment.
Reilly Ace of Spies was an ardent anti-Bolshevik. Too bad Neill isn't.

I guess Sam never heard of kick backs, corruption and behind the scenes Louisianna mafia dons who have ruled and installed their own prop officials, state and city for decades. Sam, WAKE UP! The U.S. can afford it, but the Lousianna crooks kept lining their own pockets the same way African dictators do.

#1: This president spends twice as much on programs for the poor than Clinton did. This has been itemized recently, with facts and statistics, by Bill O'Reilly and just now on the radio by Sean Hannity who was talking with Leo Torrell and someone named Cunningham.
#2. The state of Louisiana has been under Democratic control in the cities and legislature for over 60 years. I thought that without Republican "interference" that Democrats were going to be able to "solve" the issue of poverty and race.
We've seen those mantras by the left to be what they are during this Hurricane. The left has lied and hasn't helped their minority population but has left them in poverty living little better than slaves.
#3. The US Census data confirms that the number of minority home owned houses is at the highest level in our nation's history.
#4. The US Census data proves that over 70% of the poor own their own cars, microwaves, televisions, etc., and eat well. People in India point to the poor in the United States and wish they were so poor and so fat.
#5. The State of Louisiana received more money spent on the levee system than it did during the Clinton administration. The Washington Post confirmed this week what freepers have known for several weeks.
The State of Louisiana receives more money for levee sort of projects than any state in the nation, including California which has a population 7 times that of Louisiana.
#6. The officials in Louisiana have consistently mis-spent money from the federal government and instead of using the money to protect their citizens, they have built casinos and bike parks.
#7. The mayor let hundreds of buses sit unused and didn't even try to get people in nursing homes and those without resources out of the city.
