PARIS - Al Qaedas leader in Iraq, Abu Musab Al Zarqawi, is dead but Washington continues to use him as a bogeyman to justify a prolonged military occupation, an Iraqi Shia cleric said in an interview published here on Friday.
Sheikh Jawad Al Kalesi, the imam of the al-Kazemiya mosque in Baghdad, told Le Monde newspaper: I dont think that Abu Musab Al Zarqawi exists as such. Hes simply an invention by the occupiers to divide the people.
Kalesi claimed that Zarqawi was killed in the Kurdish northern region of Iraq at the beginning of the US-led war on the country as he was meeting with members of the Ansar Al-Islam group affiliated to Al Qaeda.
His family in Jordan even held a ceremony after his death. Abu Musab Al Zarqawi is therefore a ploy used by the Americans, an excuse to continue the occupation. Its a pretext so they dont leave Iraq.
Kalesi made the comments to Le Monde as he passed through Paris.
Yeah, right.
If the Z-hole is dead, why does he keep putting out audio-tapes?
i actually wish this was true. I hope bin laden is captured and we are just holding him and putting panties on his head.
Habeas Corpus!........
I wish.
Kill more of 'em, kill 'em left and kill 'em right.
So let's have the body!
There has to be a reward for even his dead, rotting corpse!
We must be REALLY close this time!
Anyone want to guess dates on his capture?
I will go with October 12, 2005.
I've never seen a figment of my imagination chop off heads.
Denying he exists seems like it cuts the head off his argument. If you say he's dead, fine, but he was anything but fake.
Unfortunately.
D
Exactly. Nobody wants the $25MILLION DOLLARS Sure...
Zarqawi isn't dead, I saw him at the Tasty Freeze hanging out with Elvis.
Uh, Huh.... We've heard that one before.
There's a Monty Python routine in there somewhere.
Arafat is still dead.
Don't believe it!
We have heard this one before many many many times.

It's not a flesh wound.
Of course he's dead, I've read it here many times. Almost weekly, as a matter of fact.
