Did your money NOT go to New Orleans before?

Irrelavent to the question. The fact that New Orleans gained from stolen money does not give them the right to continue to steal.

Not irrelavent. The money was not stolen (originally). Our tax money goes to N.O. for funding projects for the levees because it is a vital infrastracture to all the USA. (dims stole it after...)

Do you not benefit from US commerce?

Also irrelavent. See above.

Wrong again. We all need and benefit from the import/export trade that is provided by the Port and access to Mississippi.

Is New Orleans NOT a border?

The last time I checked, New Orleans didn't border any other countries. It's both a City and a Port Of Entry legally and therefore is the responsibility of the Coast Guard, the Border Patrol, and the Dept. of Customs. Even so, that doesn't make it's rebuilding a Federal responsibilty.

You have to have LAND to be a border. New Orleans is bordered by water with a Port of access.

Border Patrol and Customs is not effective. Human trafficking is a major problem in New Orleans.

Also, you didn't read my article. Look at the last sentence:

"The Port of New Orleans has also been a defined area where foreign merchandise gets brought into the country without being immediately subject to the usual U.S. Customs regulations!!!"

The private sector can do the job far better than the Feds can.

I want NO rebuilt as well. I just don't want the Feds to do it.

Conservatives believe in the private sector, liberals don't. So, what does that make you?
