I have a fundamental problem with buffoons pissing on the memory of a place that they never visited or never bothered to know.
You are perfectly free to love the place, despite its rampant corruption, high crime rates, poverty, moral decadence and all the rest of it. Love it all you want. Rebuild it, even. As long as you don't try to use tax dollars to do it, you can do anything your heart desires, and I've no quarrel with you at all.
