He is not forgotten.
Please, let our silent voices be heard. For we are absent, and have no say.
American veterans who were left behind,
And were still so many miles away.
How long in captivity must we abide,
With memories of loved ones trapped deep inside.
While pictures of loved ones keep fading away,
Were all growing older each passing day.
Are we forgotten, our voices cry out?
Why cant you hear our silent shout?
Please join together and bring us all home,
Before its too late and our faith is gone.
Are we forgotten, its our greatest fear,
Cause were still missing after all these years.

From email tonight:
First casualties Truth,Capt. Michael Speicher and Sgt. Matt Maupin:
With the latest tragedy concerning the hurricane and it's victims, other important issues get pushed further and further back on that very full "front burner".
Yesterday, Capt. Michael Scott Speicher (shot down the first day of Desert Storm..1991) had his status change to "Missing-Captured". If he had been known from the start as POW/MIA then you may have remembered but the terminology was changed years ago.."For whatever reason". It was stated that "The Iraq government(of Saddam) knows where Capt. Speicher is and WE will intensify our effort to find him"..after 13 years WE are going to intensify OUR effort ? We have been told for the past 13 years that everything that could be done was being done..apparenty that's not the case...surprise !!
Capt. Speicher was declared KIA(killed in action) with in 8 hours after his plane went down. There was no proof of death or life at that time but TRUTH couldn't get in the way of action. Later all evidence showed that he "survived" the downing and was captured.."POW/MIA"!!
Today we ALSO have Sgt. Keith Matt Maupin being held POW/MIA in Iraq(Captured 4/2004) but known as "Missing-Captured". Speaking with his father yesterday he asked,"considering all of this, do you think anybody cares about Matt"?? I answered that,"those who know about Matt care very much as we do about ALL the troops but how many Americans KNOW that we have a POW being held in Iraq"??
We can wave the flag and place a yellow ribbon on every vehicle we see, which I guess means something. We can also DEMAND that the status of captured of American servicemen/women be changed to "POW/MIA' from "Missing-Captured" so at least WE are aware of these Americans and their families.
These well meaning people who "wish to Bring the boys home" ?? I'm all for it !! Lets start with Capt. Michael Scott Speicher and Sgt. Keith Matt Maupin. As a Vietnam Veteran I remember "you folks" from years ago yelling the same thing..Hey,YOU left many behind..but then it was all about YOU wasn't it??
