Unfortunately this is one of the places President Bush departs from President Reagan and one of the reasons I hold Reagan in greater esteem.

Ronald Reagan faced no comparable situation in defending America against an enemy that wants to kill us all.

It is, on it's face, a completely unfair comparison. Ronald Reagan would have spent money to defend us against an enemy that killed American citizens on American soil.

I am referring to Bush's lack of a tendency to curb government spending and cut the size of government.
