Sorry, the facts I cited regarding the fresh water system is true; it can not be helped when 80+% of the city ends up 15 to 25 feet under water. There is no way that filth did not infiltrate the fresh water pipe system.
I am sure it was infiltrated, but from what I read, it turns out the "filth" was not as filthy as first thought. I should try to find the thread here on FR where it was posted, but I am too lazy and tired at the moment, sorry.
