The interconnectedness of our nation and it's economy is such that we cannot simply wipe the region and its economy off the face of the map. Meanwhile, the POTUS is committed to revamping our response system not only to address natural disasters, but terrorist attack.
Yes....Katrina was a wake-up call on how to improve the response to terrorism if it is needed.
Some good will come of this disaster.
