The left's rallying cry is: Let's take it up the butt!
I keep thinking about the memorial for 5 nuns who were brutally slaughtered in Liberia back in the 90's. Outside their convent in Ruma, Illinois is a beautiful sculpture that shows all 5 sisters with their arms in the air holding their hands and looking toward the sky. It is a very powerful image and I wish that these heroes of Flight 93 could have something that dignified because they more than deserve it.
You and me both, buddy.
It is impossible to overstate the symbolic importance of the heroes of Flight 93. At a time when the nation was uncertain and under attack, the story of their determined resistance and ultimate sacrifice was exactly what the nation needed to hear.
But to the anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-everything Left, they are an anathema. The heroes of Flight 93 call out for a forceful and determined resistance to international terrorism, which is something they just cannot abide. So it is necessary to blunt the message, and convince people the proper response is passivity.
Huh?
Just incredible.
Mr. Steyn never strikes out, does he?
