WASHINGTON -- A Pentagon employee was ordered to destroy documents that identified Mohamed Atta as a terrorist two years before the 2001 attacks, a congressman said Thursday.
The employee is prepared to testify next week before the Senate Judiciary Committee and was expected to name the person who ordered him to destroy the large volume of documents, said Rep. Curt Weldon, R-Pa.

"Well in the excerpt it said that the person was ordered to destroy the files two years before the 2001 attacks.
I'm guessing that the person didn't wait very long to destroy said records so it probably happened in 1999."
Well the way it was written it seemed vague in that
("A Pentagon employee was ordered to destroy documents that identified Mohamed Atta as a terrorist two years before the 2001 attacks, a congressman said Thursday.")
these words do not make it clear if Atta was identified two years before the 2001 attack or if the destruction of the documents took place two years before the attacks.
That being the case I was wondering if I had missed earlier reporting, giving a more specific time about when the destruction took place and/or ordered to be destroyed.

But he said that an Able Danger will testify under oath that he was ordered to destroy 2 terabites of material. The Library of Congress has informed Weldon that 2 terabites of material equals approximately 1/4 of all the material in the Library of Congress.<<
They lied. I have about 200 DVDs and that represents about 1 terabyte. Raw video is about 13 gigabytes per HOUR. If they had actual surveillance video in raw format of ATTA, it could be that much.

Monica Lewinsky dropped a cigar onto a stack of Able Danger papers.

Re#79 Failure to obey an order is all I can think of. Anything else would be hinting at a Billy Dale type prosecution which would not be beneath the 'Toon administration, as we know...

Hey, wait a minute...It just clicked on me..IT'S probably a pub who ordered those files destroyed, why else would the AP write up an article on papers?! If it were a stinkin RAT or even Hiltary ordering them destroyed, no way in HELL would the AP be reporting on it! NO WAY IN HELL!!

I just don't believe that someone didn't pass this on to the FBI and THAT is why everything was destroyed. But I believe BUBBA was THEE person in the chain who had them destroyed AFTER Bush won the election.

9/11 commissioners running for cover. Is there any wonder that Hillary wants a commission to investigate the Katrina matter? Commissions are better at burying facts than uncovering them.

I just loved hearing that Hillary requested a commission just like 9-11. The wiser folks told her to chuck it!!
