Taylor Marie Behl, a 17-year-old freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University, is still missing after last being seen on Sept. 5, according to Colonel Willie B. Fuller, the VCU chief of police.
The VCU student was first reported missing on Sept. 7 around 1:35 a.m. Her roommate, who was with her boyfriend at the time, saw her last on Sept. 5 around 10:20 p.m. in their dorm room. Behl had just returned from dinner at the Village Café, located on the corner of Harrison and Grace streets. She left shortly after that with just her car keys and a credit card.
The Vienna, Va. native is 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt at the time of her disappearance. Her car, a white 1997 Ford Escort with the license plate number JPC-2848, is also missing.

When will cable start going wall-to-wall with this?
Prayers for her family, and for her...
Greta is dropping the ball on this one. Though there seems to be a pretty lax attitude toward this from the local media, also. I think they suspect she's a runaway.
No, it has been on the news the past few nights and the cops have a few people that they are interested in.
sad though....guess I have to make sure that my daughter gets it into her head to be careful no matter what.
Fox has actually been quiet on this story because they are preparing to launch a new channel, TMBC - the Taylor Marie Behl Channel - to offer 24-hour in-depth coverage on this case.
Sorry - only missing blondes are newsworthy. This gal's a brunette. Move along.
Dang, the other thread was locked. I wanted to hear more names along the lines of Caine O'Reare, Harry Butt, and Harry C. Beavers...
"She left shortly after that with just her car keys and a credit card."
According to the first story I read about this, she left because her roommate and the boyfriend were getting ready to have a little fun.
I hope they find her safe, but I don't have a good feeling about this one.
In the original story, the reporter alluded to the fact that authorities haven't determined whether she was abducted or, quite possibly, that she left on her own. This was due, in part, I believe, by the statements of the last person to see her, apparently her roommate who said that Taylor accidently walked in on the roommate as she was "entertaining" a boyfriend. Embarrassed, she excused herself, closed the door and disappeared.
Since the original broadcast of the story, I have not heard any reference to the roommate, only the girl's mother saying how she gave her $40 before she went back to school that evening and that the daughter called when she returned to school saying that she returned safely.
I dunno, what's the conservative angle on this? This is a story about a local crime. I just don't see anything that prompts me to join a protest or write my congressman.
Oh, she's a hot white chick? Ok, then double what I just said.
I was coming from the angle of "Let's spread the word" so maybe she'll be found!
Also, 3 skateboarders alert! She might have been going with them!
You're forgetting that Lacy Peterson was brunette:)
Last night on Greta there was some mention of her leaving because her roomate was entertaining but I didn't catch the details..what is strange is some older 38 year old guy put pictures of the victim on his website (normal pictures) and when questioned about then took them down...Mark Fuhrman said he (that guy) needed to be looked at and that finding her car might give clues....
Yes, I believe her mom called her car something like a "2500 lb piece of evidence."
There was the dentist in Washington State named Dr. Pulliam. And of course the girl in my freshman class at Berkeley many, many years ago -- Miss Overfelt. I know that she was dinged by a couple of sororities just because of her name.
"I was coming from the angle of "Let's spread the word" so maybe she'll be found!"
Good job!
