Reminds the committee not to assume view expressed in memos are necessarily his.

I am beginning to resent this line. Those views, or a lot of them, happen to be my views. They are conservative, common sense views. There is nothing wrong with them. I don't want apologies for them. I want them to prevail.

I see your point. If Roberts announced those views as his own, though, we'd have rounds of Dem questioning and worse histrionics than we have now until Roberts dies of old age!
