Oh, my. The story just keeps getting better and better. Here are the previous posts for background. I have some more photographs, but her face is really dark. One photo can be zoomed, however, to show a pretty good profile. Before I post it here, I am offering it to the National Enquirer.
For Arianna - DRIVING MISS DAISY
ARIANNA FOLLOW UP PHOTO THREAD
ALGORE DECIDED ON THE CADILLAC ESCALADE
Here is the latest. Kudos to KABC radio personality Mr. KABC for following up on our discussion last night. Last night when I told the story on his show, he was astounded. He sent an email to Arianna asking her to be on his show and discuss whether she, in fact, took a gas guzzling SUV to and from the Sierra Club Summit over the weekend in San Francisco. She was the keynote speaker.
A listener to the show sent an email to the person who runs her blog and received a reply. Here's the scoop.
Mr. KABC email to Arianna:
A listener called my show last night [9/13] saying that he photographed you being driven in an SUV to speak at the Sierra Club in San Francisco. I told the listeners that I would try to get on to talk about it.
Are you available for a five minute phoner tonight anytime between 9PM and midnight?
Thanks,
************
a/k/a Mr. KABC
Mr. KABC received this and forwarded it to me. He read it on the air. Another listener contacted the Arianna webmaster.

Dear Mr. KABC,
Roy Sekoff here. I'm the editor of the Huffington Post. One of your listeners, a ********* (name and email address redacted) wrote the following to us today:
on mr KABC night show on september 13th 2005 a reporter called in and said:
he was at the sierra club meeting and saw Arriana Huffington riding a SUV after the meeting and he has pictures to document this. the host mr KABC promised to follow the story and to e-mail mr Huffington. the truth always comes out.
And here is what I just replied:
The truth does always comes out, but it isn't always clear. While the reporter was absolutely right that Arianna arrived at the meeting in an SUV, he didn't get the whole story. Namely, that the SUV had been sent by the Sierra Club to bring Arianna from the San Francisco airport to the Sierra Club conference at the Moscone Center, that she had been stunned when it arrived, and had raised the point with the organizers about the inappropriateness of the vehicle. This wasn't a case of hypocrisy... but rather a bad choice made by an otherwise worthy organization.
Sincerely,

So there is the story. Arianna sees a gas guzzling pollution spewing vehicle there to pick her up at the airport. She could have chosen to not enter the vehicle. As I pointed out to Mr. KABC tonight, I took a cab from the airport. Arianna, I didn't even have to wait. There were 20 of them lined up.
Okay, she gets in and shows up to give her speech. Why didn't Arianna demand that they get her another vehicle to take her back to the airport? Again, why not a cab? She wouldn't have had to pay for it. If she would have asked, I am sure that one of the hybrid vehicles that was featured would have given her a ride. She didn't have to get into the Suburban! I watched her do it voluntarily.
And what about the Sierra Club? Why in the world would they send a Chevy Suburban to pick her up at the airport? It wasn't a new vehicle. My guess is that it belonged to someone in the club. Perhaps that person needs to be kicked out of the club or at least be branded with a green tatoo on his forehead.
Folks, get this story into the mainstream media! Get it to all your favorite blogs and send it around the world.

Well, it was going that way anyways!
(Answer she gave to flying in a private jet while suggesting people give up their SUVs).
The gas usage is probably more incriminating than the SUV, though I would not complain either.
whats interesting is Jaguar's new 06 XK8/XKR coup looks very similar to it and will be priced about 165,000 less.
now thats a bargin.
Thanks for posting the picture. If I knew how to do it, I would post the XK8
Just kidding. Good job!
Liberals are as liberals do. Her voice defines the word "shrill".
As the old saying goes. "Do as I say not as I do". Typical hypocrats.

Or to make it any size you want:

I made those numbers up. Common type-o is to write "scr" instead of "src" (as in "source").
Also use:
break (adds 1 return)

paragraph (adds 2 returns)
Otherwise your comment looks annoying, right next to the picture.
Note: some servers block re-posting pictures, so always use "Preview". It may also be blocked if high-traffic is detected. (Much like when driving cool sports cars... )

Thank you very much.
I stand corrected. It was the 2007.

But for the record, I'd still like her to tell us what she owns/drives/leases :)
Way to go, Melanie Morgan. She discussed the story this morning on KSFO.
GREAT JOB!
