Oh, I am not Military, but come from a strong military family. I grew up in a world not littered with PC and disrespect for our brave heroes.

We in The Canteen, have a mission to support our troops and their families.

I didn't expect that you were military. When I enlisted, in 1973, there were very few people who still had any respect for military people. I am happy to see that has changed. In 1991, when I returned home from Operation Desert Storm, I was surprised to find that being in the military was once again considered an honorable thing to be, but I'm not so foolish as to take it for granted, as I've know other times.

Supporting our troops is service, in its own right. I thanked you, and thank you again, for THAT service! I was communications support for the warfighters at Desert Storm, that being the best service I could give. The warfighters could have done what they did without us, we just made it easier for them, in some ways. What you do is similar to what I did, you and all those who have accepted your mission. Thank you, again.
