NEW YORK In what seems to be destined to become one of the most yacked about photos of the month, if not year, a Reuters photographer today seems to have captured President George W. Bush scribbling a note to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice suggesting that he needed to take a "bathroom break" during a session at the United Nations.

I'm sure the note still exists along with all his other writings being saved for the George W. Bush Presidential Library.

He didn't write that part of the note. That's not his handwriting. That and apparently President Bush is left-handed? Why isn't anyone saying any of this?? This is beyond childish.

"God help me, I hate the media."
"That and apparently President Bush is left-handed? Why isn't anyone saying any of this?? This is beyond childish."
DOAIJV and CGK:
The media deliberately lie, distort, malign and bear false witness. They are, therefore, evil. Biblically, it's okay to hate evil. Here are some affirming references that I think really apply to the so-called MSM:
"Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked." Psalm, 97:10;
"To fear the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech, I hate." Proverbs 8:13;
"Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts." Amos 5:15;
" 'Do not plot evil against your neighbor, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this,' declares the LORD.' " Zechariah 8:13.
"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good." Romans 12:9;

Yup. He's left handed, alright. Another media fabrication.

Yes, this is still irritating the P&V out of me...

"Original" Reuters pic:
It's starting to look like CONDI wrote the top half of the note and President Bush wrote the bottom half. Of course, I'm still stuck on that right hand/left hand thing. I don't know if that's accurate. I've found pics of him using both hands - something else the libs will point to as EEEEEVIL!!!! ;)

If Bush is ambidexterous, doesn't that mean he's superior to all of those merely one-handed demo-rats? :-)

Well, it's not whether he is human or not that is in question; It's the fact that him asking rice whether it is appropriate to go to the bathroom implies that he doesn't know when these things are appropriate but she does. When you talk about one of the most powerful people in the world (i don't really agree with that title), that is supposed to lead a superpower possibly (and i do stress the word possibly) lacking such basic judgment skills it is certainly enough to raise a few eyebrows to say the least. It's not as though he is new to this.
Some of you call this nitpicking but with political jobs such as being president the press have an obligation to report anything that could have implications to a person's character. I believe for democracy and the voting system to actually work people should be left to draw their own opinions on character rather than being told what type of person he is. It is not at the press's discretion to decide whether something is important enough, as long as it MAY have an impact on some people's opinion of the president i believe the press have a duty to make it public knowledge.
That being said this photo probably isn't legitimate, this is again an example of certain members of the press taking advantage of the current attitude towards bush for their own selfish reasons. I believe this is a problem which is visible throughout the world's press. I think people have forgotten that they aren't there to slander or cause controversy but to simply make different points of view heard.

To add to what i have just said i am English and i am not anti-bush but i am not pro bush. For all you bush supporters that have been coming under-fire lately i believe that instead of just defending bush blindly you throw your hands up and say "you know, he's not perfect and some of what you're saying is true but i believe he's doing a pretty good job and i don't believe that any of his current competition could do any better". If you said things that are a little more constructive than just "stop nitpicking" i think a lot of the people that are legitimately anti-bush would respect you guys a lot more. When you defend someone, unless you do a good job it's just going to make the person look like they have a weaker argument than they actually do.

Maybe not. But tread carefully when you first come on board or you will be zotted.
