Immigration will make U.S. Third World country

Editor:

Illegal immigration is the one issue both Democrats and Republicans are afraid to address. I am an American of Mexican descent, therefore how I am not anti-Mexican.

Just because I can sympathize with the majority of people coming from Mexico and other parts in central and South American does not mean I think this country has the obligation or the ability to assimilate the entire hemisphere. Just because a country chooses to protect its borders does not make it a heartless or racist country. It seems to me a basic and natural thing for a country to do this, protect its borders.

I really believe that if someone does not get a handle on this enormous problem with our porous bor-ders we are going to become a Third World country.

I can see why the Republicans do not want to really fix the problem. Cheap labor from down south al-lows the Wal-Marts of this country to increase their bottom line and we all know the Republican Party is primarily a party for big business. So we have George Bush paying lip service to this problem but never really addressing it in a meaningful way.

I am not anti-immigrant, I just think everyone should obey our immigration laws. They were put there for a reason.

The thing that puzzles me is why the Democratic Party does not run with this issue.

Cheap labor is hurting our unions; unions for the most part support the Democratic Party. To me ad-dressing the immigration problem is a way of helping the blue-collar worker in this country. The Demo-cratic Party should jump on this issue and do it soon. Not only is it a populist idea, it is the right thing to do.

Aside from illegal immigration being a detriment to the economic health of the average American worker and taxpayer, the most dangerous and probably the most important issue is that terrorists can come into this country with little or no intervention. I say bring our boys home from Iraq. Station these reserve and National Guard troops at our borders and secure them before we worry about the borders between Iraq and Syria.

Put our reserve and National Guard to patrol our nuclear plants, our water ports, our airports, our chemical plants. There is so much critical industry that we have in this country that is going virtually unprotected.

We need to get serious about playing a little defense. We need to better protect the homeland. I don’t think this is being an isolationist, this is just common sense.

PROTECT OUR OWN BORDER and citizens.
------
Let's not get crazy now...to many campaign dollars bought the illegals a free ride...big business wins, over the people and the country...at the risk of our security and the long list of sufferage the US citizen is paying.

BZZZ! "I'll take Cross-Party Corruption for $200, Alex." Seriously, the time has come for the cheerleaders here to examine who they're supporting with closer scrutiny. If the people they're shoving money at are getting scads more from companies that profit from illegal labor...

that politician may be a scumbag. Just amazing that most of them have progeny who'll have to live in the mess they created.

"Just amazing that most of them have progeny who'll have to live in the mess they created."

Truer words have never been written.

Some future, legacy they would have left their children.

My guess, though, is that when the situation hits bottom, the then treasonous elitists and their progeny will run back to Europe and other countries of their ancestors.

The open border apologists are voting for democrats anyway. They just have an "R" in front of their names. It's starting to seem like democrats and republicans are passing the ball back and forth like they're on the same team.

Ever see three hundred million middle class people being told they are now going to be poor... This inevitability will make the rise of the third Reich look like a cub scout jamboree unless properly managed.

The key word phrase is properly managed...And we are being properly managed...We are working for less money...We have lost millions of good paying jobs...It's a fast creep...

I used to argue with a close friend who's a Democrat official...He would constantly tell me that the Republicans are taking us into the New World Order heading for a One World Gov't...The leaders of this one world gov't will the very rich and multi-national organizations...The rest of us will be peons...

Now that's a given...We all know that's the agenda Bush is working on...

I would remind him that the Democrats had the same agenda of a New World Order with a One world Gov't...And of course he couldn't deny it but his response was interesting...He said the Democrats, thru the United Nations want to Socialize the World...Eliminate the extremely poor...

I asked how this was different or better than the Republican plan...His answer was it was more honorable...Maybe he's right...The Democrats and Republicans are both intent on destroying our Nation but the Dems are doing it for the people of the world...

The point is, neither party will get us out of this rut...It won't be long at all when the leaders realize it's foolish to have so many different currencies thruout the world...

I don't know if Congress any longer has the power or the will to save the country...We watched the gov't burn a church and it's men, women and children to the ground...I don't think the people are willing to take on the gov't...

Our laws will have to come into line as well. The first thing is to get rid of that pesky constitution so we can force people off their land and take their weapons so they can't fight back....

That's kinda funny considering how the Aztlanite radicals are fond of telling us to "Move back to Europe where we belong". Personally I think the traitors opt for relocating close to their offshore hidden stashes - the Azores, Bahamas, etc.

Wouldn't our FROBL friends call this an anti-Mexican Mexican? Anti-immigrant Mexican-American?

Being in favor of a law is not necessarily equivalent to hating the people who break it. I think that following the speed limit is a good idea; it's a safety measure that should be enforced.

You've probably driven over the speed limit in your adult life. Do I hate you for it? No. Do I want to see the law enforced? Yes.

There are things that could be inserted into that scenario, of course. If you were known to drive in a reckless manner in a neighborhood full of children out playing, it might be a little bit harder to answer the former in the negative. But the general principle is there:

Not everyone who drives over the speed limit does so in a manner that is so obviously harmful to self and others, but all are breaking a law that should be enforced.

I choose my words very carefully though my foul moods sometimes hide this fact well. Managed is the proper word for what is happening. All things must be managed to have effective (best possible) outcome, peoples and empires hold no exception.

>> I don't think the people are willing to take on the gov't...

The point I was trying to make is that people are the government and become the government if not dealt with fairly. It may be possible that America is being led to an irretrievable position (by unstoppable geopolitical and technological realities) that could if unmanaged result in a bad situation.

The power inherent in this country and the decentralization of that vast power into the hands of individual citizens is a development the likes of which history has no parallel.

Globalization or die.

"Globalization and die" depending on who's running it. It could be decided that a world population of 25 million is best.

After all, you want to do your part for the good of the North American province, don't you, FL50786?

I just had to cut and paste that bit because it expresses so perfectly my own feelings about the issue.

Everyone should read post #13 ! I hope the information in that post is a wake-up call to the open borders crowd. If it isn't, they're hopeless.

"...you're really arguing agqainst legal immigration..."

I think we've had enough of that, too. None of them are assimilating. They are causing Cultural Pollution. All of them are socialists. And do we really need 300 million people to suck up all our resources and build houses on our best farmland? (Resources? Ask the folks in Colorado and New Mexico how their water supply is.)

Another Reason We Should Control Illegal Immigration

Michael Savage was onto this 10 years ago. I think I can safely mention his name since this is an immigration thread.

Thanks for contributing such a good post!

Here is a post I made a few days ago from the same area. The Valley Morning Star is a Brownsville/Harlingen Newspaper. The number of OTM is ALARMING! If they caught this many OTH(Other than Mexicans), just think how many Mexicans is not being sent home.

Opposition to illegal immigrants is not racism.

Agreed, as demonstrated by the fact that 47% of Hispanic voters voted in favor of the anti-illegal alien measure Prop 200 in Arizona last year.
