German Jewish rabbis say that Sephardic rabbis are well-known for proclaiming that a Messiah is about to arrive, so don't believe them. There are many examples of this in Jewish history.
However, given what Rabbi Kaduri has stated more than once, I'd reckon that the higher-up rabbis in Israel have someone already picked out to be their "Messiah."

Was the Tsunami supposed to be some focused judgment on the Jews' enemies in this chap's theology? It wiped out a lot of Buddhists and Hindus, not just Muslims.
