To: Stu Cohen

Thank you for all your posts giving me advice about my rant this morning.

I understand that is allowed on FreeRepublic. If it were disallowed I would have heard by now.

What you suggest Mr. Cohen in all your passivity is that I am not a passive person. If I feel something is amiss I will speak up and wait for more advice from people who agree and disagree with me.

You obviously disagree with my method of speaking up - and that is your right sir, I respect it, regardless that you did not respect my right to speak up at all but demeaned it as hardly worthy of a topic.

That is the trouble in our world today - we slink off, disgusted by things we see and read and hear and never take a role in speaking up.

If we are wrong, no doubt people like you will soon change our minds if we are open to suggestion. I am open to suggestions and advice - that is why I frequent forums because learned people give advice on forums.

In this case you have not changed my mind, for you have offered slinking away and keeping quiet and making my concern seem unimportant.

That is not advice at all, merely negative dismissal.

I NEVER implied that you didn't have a right to post your rant. Surely you do. I simply replied to your rant ... as is also my right.

I think the reaon that so many major things go unsolved, is because people spend too much time wringing their hands over silly things. The Cowboy's lost, Google didn't put up the right "memorial" graphic, yada, yada, yada.

Meanwhile, as Google was responding to you, another 1,000 people crossed the border illegally (terrorists? Who knows?), 20 politicians we bribed, and 20 more homes were condemned for emminent domain.

I like your outrage, but for goodness sake, a freaking search engines decision to put a silly graphic on it's page isn't deserving of it, IMHO. If more eople directed that pissed-offedness in other directions ... there may not have been a 9/11 to "memorialize".

Frankly, I think it's a memorial to our own stupidity, and am glad Google didn't show it to the world.

And our borders are still wide open. I suppose Google should be working on a stockpile of graphics for the future unless we get this politically correct cluster***k under control.
