In this case you have not changed my mind, for you have offered slinking away and keeping quiet and making my concern seem unimportant.

That is not advice at all, merely negative dismissal.

I NEVER implied that you didn't have a right to post your rant. Surely you do. I simply replied to your rant ... as is also my right.

I think the reaon that so many major things go unsolved, is because people spend too much time wringing their hands over silly things. The Cowboy's lost, Google didn't put up the right "memorial" graphic, yada, yada, yada.

Meanwhile, as Google was responding to you, another 1,000 people crossed the border illegally (terrorists? Who knows?), 20 politicians we bribed, and 20 more homes were condemned for emminent domain.

I like your outrage, but for goodness sake, a freaking search engines decision to put a silly graphic on it's page isn't deserving of it, IMHO. If more eople directed that pissed-offedness in other directions ... there may not have been a 9/11 to "memorialize".

Frankly, I think it's a memorial to our own stupidity, and am glad Google didn't show it to the world.

And our borders are still wide open. I suppose Google should be working on a stockpile of graphics for the future unless we get this politically correct cluster***k under control.

I agree Mr. Cohen but far more knowledgeable people write on these forums about the subjects you have suggested. I have been reading FD for years and rarely make commentary because I have little offer, and lots to learn. Generally someone will query the same question I have anyway so I watch and see how the thread goes.

We do have immense problems here and our frustrations with the lack of solutions being offered is hard to bear and I understand my topic was of such little importance in our world right now, but as you will see from the post following yours, another poster brought up the topic.

I also wondered why Google had neglected 9/11 and I then wrote to Google last Sunday. This morning received a reply. I felt it was ok to pass it along in hopes the original writer saw the topic.... I felt my little offering had no weight to it, that is why I didn't include it in the 9/11 thread which should be preserved for historical record.

Please do not judge me by what I write here, this isn't a doctorate class in government or political science or civics - and if it was, I would be writing even less - I am here to learn not to be derided for asking questions or writing opinions - even if they are ineffectual in your lofty world.

We all have our place in society to the degree which we can enrich others in diverse ways. I am comfortable with my personal contributions and rarely have reason to rant - even on unimportant topics.

I completely concur with your observation.

"I wish to assure all of my officers and soldiers that I have never and will never criticize them for having done too much. However, I shall certainly relieve them for doing nothing." General George S. Patton

Sadly, close to 80 percent (if not more) of our elected officials should be relieved of their duty for doing nothing about the illegal invasion of our country.
