Today, President Bush met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani in the Oval Office, and together they had a joint press conference in the East Room of the White House.
This afternoon, President and First Lady Laura Bush left the White House for New York City, where the President will address the United Nations.

As many of you noticed, I decided to post polling results from Gallup on a separate thread . . . I wanted to give it maximum exposure!

For him the VP was quite tactile as well he touched the small of Lynne's back quite a few times walking to and from the White House. IMHO in the wake of Katrina and the unjust criticism of the Administration I suspect it some made the ceremony even more poignant.

Mark my words.... I predict that by January 2006 President Bush will have an approval rating well above 50% and if the truth be known, that's where it has always been

The Dems never expected Bush to say this today
NBC news is rubbing his face in it.
They are frustrated the democrats don't have a man in their
party. Guess that's why the gals in that party look and
act like guys, someone has to do it.

Thank you for posting C-Span's TV schedule for tonight!
I just want to add that C-Span will re-broadcast the President Bush/Talabani Press Conference at 11 PM EDT as well!
http://inside.c-spanarchives.org:8080/cspan/schedule.csp
THIS IS A MUST SEE PRESSER: I wish the WHOLE country could watch Talabani's heartfelt THANK YOU to President Bush!
[Of course, the media purposely ignored the 'thank you', preferring to misquote the President instead. Again, HAVE I MENTIONED LATELY HOW MUCH I HATE THE MEDIA?!]

That's FABULOUS!!!!
Sorry it took me so long to get back. I forgot I needed to run to my cousin's house to help set a class schedule. Yup, I was late, and yes, they forgave me.

It's good to know that the U.S. military put somebody so extremely competant in charge down there.
No wonder things are going so well!

I think Eric, with his love of history, has a grasp of what he was part of.
I know that he NEVER listens to the news. Gets all his info from military sites, so he doesn't lose his mind.
This is GOOD stuff today!
