To: Moral Hazard
While the staff has some duty to the nursing home residents, I don't think the law requires them to do anything that would put themselves at risk

Judge Napolitano on Fox said that the law requires them to stay there and even die with the residents of the nursing home.

There was a bus for them but they refused it. That bus was offered before Katrina. This emergency was not front loaded. It became a nightmarish clean up operation. People who were talking on the phone to their family members from that home were doing okay until they drowned. The insurance for that nursing home will make a huge settlement. They can't possibly defend the abandonment of all those innocent victims. It's indefensible.
