I missed the hearing in its entirety. Anything In Roberts responses that would cause concern for conservatives?
I missed most of it too, but it's going to be run again in about a half an hour.
If anything, it should have inspired conservatives. He appears to be a constructionist to the letter. He even, with the help of Senator Cornyn, answered the much debated issue of Roe v Wade be settled law. Cornyn asked Roberts if that means that it could not be changed and Roberts said that indeed, it may be. That, of course is paraphrasing but is the jist.
I sure didn't see anything. He was AWESOME. My only concern is what the dums ail do to the next nominee after having been humiliated and exposed for the dopes they are by Roberts.

Not from what I saw, but I didn't see the entire hearing. Some of the media have spun Roberts' statement about precedent as if he endorsed Roe, but it's a mischaracterization. He basically said precedent is important and deserves consideration but isn't sacrosanct. He said Roe is a precedent, and so is Casey, which is simply a fact. He also noted that Casey's modifications of Roe constituted an alteration of precedent, which I liked. He effectively told the Democrats that Roe has already been tampered with.
The Wash post said Roberts said that Roe is "settled law." It did not provide the exact quote. I would like to see the transcript.
After reading the following, I'm a little concerned.
