I'm thinking he'll nominate a woman... maybe a black woman...Janice Rogers Brown? I doubt it'll be her, but she'd be perfect :)
I would absolutely swoon if The President nominated Btown, but I really don't think it is a shoo-in that he will nominate a woman.
There are so many very good conservative candidates he could choose.

Then publicly suggest strongly that Souter or Stevens ought to swftly resign from the USSC to open up a seat that he can nominate a woman to replace THEM - and vow that he would nominate a woman for THAT seat.
