I really do applaude Thompson for his perfect response to the subtle "teasing" (AKA, "disrespecting") from Biden.
I was asking myself how I would react to Biden, if he said he and I were alike, intellectually.
My first temptation would have been to scowl and that would have been the wrong reaction.
Thompson deflected the joke back onto Biden.
