End of the Bush Era [E. J. Dionne: “We dare not go on like this.”]
The Washington Post ^ | September 13, 2005 | By E. J. Dionne Jr.

The Bush Era is over. The sooner politicians in both parties realize that, the better for them -- and the country.

Recent months, and especially the past two weeks, have brought home to a steadily growing majority of Americans the truth that President Bush's government doesn't work. His policies are failing, his approach to leadership is detached and self-indulgent, his way of politics has produced a divided, angry and dysfunctional public square. We dare not go on like this.

Just replace every instance of 'Bush' and 'his' with 'BlamerRats' to make the article accurate.

If we had another news network comparable to FOXNews, 50% of this pure, DNC-socialist propaganda would come to an abrubt halt.

With the MSM dominance in outlets and their own 'store-front' credibility(humor)... they continue to undermine the will the voice of the people.

Dionne reminds me of, was it Elsworth Toomey in Atlas Shrugged.

Just like to left to throw a hissy-fit, refusing to co-operate and then gripe that the government is dysfunctional.

Bush's policies are failing? Sounds like the local paper's columnist who said this weekend that Bush and his TX crowd are "running America into the ground." Huh? I just don't see it.

What people like E. J. Dionne don't seem to understand is that one month from now (or one year, or two years), President Bush will still be president and people like E. J. Dionne will still be toothless Yorkshires yapping at his heels.

Mr Dionne, its you and other anti-American reporters and the stinking rags you work for that have pandered to the angry and dysfunctional Liberal public that has created the problems we have today.

These libs are all starting to all look alike.

Too much liberal inbreeding going on.

Of course most normal people avoid them so I guess that's the only way they can reproduce.

Yes, by the calendar Dubya has three years ... but the mid-term elections are soon to be upon us and the Congressional landscape might shift ...

A shift to the dim-o-crats will cause a GOP outcry of "Well, we coulda' ... oh, say, used the nuclear option."

The GOP has never learned its lesson regarding the Golden Rule ... "Treat others as they would treat you if they get the chance."

"The media now thinks that it is powerful enough to overthrow the presidency. Perhaps the CNN CEO should take over? It's a great idea except for that little thing called the Constitution. The media needs to realize that Bush isn't going up for reelection anymore. He doesn't care what the media says about him. The people of America selected him, and thats all the approval he needs."

Bush could be in very real jeopardy if he continues to ignore the open borders and illegal immigration..impeachment could be a demorat weapon on this issue- with another terrorist attack here and many conservatives would support impeachment-this issue is at the base of BUSH's falling support -why does he do nothing on illegals in this country??.

This guy is a lazy buffoon. These are the same, lame tired BS "arguments" the dems/libs/msm have been regurgitating for the last 4 years. The "Bush era" is not over. It's just getting started.

Best keep the holed-out monitor for further target practice - it'll save $$ over buying a new one every time!
