I have no problems with gated communities and private security firms. There was no wide brushes meant in my post.
However, if you missed my post 1 due to the length of the article, please take note of it.
The politicians in LA are corrupt. There is a large number of corrupt businesses there too. That combination, along with the hiring of private security companies and the history of eminent domain is what raised the alarms in my head.
Sounds like an excellent reason to hire your own security.
