Steve Forbes, in an interview, said Bush should stop filling the strategic petroleum reserve for the forseeable future as a means of popping the energy bubble since the buying by the US govt. insures the speculators will remain profitable. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Can't wait to see the "Its the Economy Stupid" and "No Blood for Oil" crowd go into brainlock...

...then again, would we notice a difference? :)

My limited predictions...

1. The Fed will not raise interest rates any more for the forseeable future.

2. Housing material prices will be sky high. Forget about building or adding on for a year or so.

3. 1 and 2 will combine to keep housing markets high throughout the country. Forget about predictions of a "housing bubble bust".

Well, there's a new hurricane that hit Mexico last Saturday. The good news, nobody had to evacuate because they're already here. .
