Hey, there's an idea for their national motto. We Live To Destroy.

And the name of their new national currency: "The Rubble."

The pictures posted in this thread have given me a number of reactions, none of which is pritable here While none of the pictures here surprise me, I'd be careful about using them as evidence for what sort of folks the Islamic Swine are. I don't know the facts but I doubt that the Palies created all of rubble that can be seen in these pictures. There just hasn't been the time. My guess is that the Israeli Army bulldozed most of the structures, leaving only the empty synagogues to be destroyed by the peaceful mobs.

YEah, they've already been saying that the Jews poisoned the land, as I'm sure you know.

YEah, they've already been saying that the Jews poisoned the land, as I'm sure you know. But what are they going to say when they wreck the buildings, the lights, the roads, and the infrastructure?

Condi Rice - kiss the White House good-bye. Your chances of getting nominated for President are less than a Dhimmi's chances of survival in Gaza.

"The man was a pig and responsible for soo much of the violence and terrorism coming out of the middle-east these days."
People get the government they deserve. If it hadn't been Arafat, it would have been someone else just as bad. Arafat was just the public face of Arab Muslim stupidity, corruption, cowardice and terror. A symbol for a failed culture of death. He was a supremely evil man who led a supremely evil people.

And there was no way it was going to get better after he went to hell. There were too many people waiting for him to die so they could wet their stupid evil beaks.

If Bush I and Peres (acting illegally per Israeli law) hadn't opted to bring a terrorist in to run the place, but had attempted to create home grown institutions and leaderships things might have turned out differently. Of course that might have taken a decade (longer now) had the effort been started in the early 90s, and the PLO was an established organization, after all.

Bush and Peres could never have brought in someone unpopular with the Palestinian people to run the PLO. He wouldn't have lasted a week among those murderers. Since the only people popular with the Palestinians are terrorists, then that means it was either Arafat or someone else just as bad.
Arafat was simply the best lier. He fooled the west into trusting him and fooled the Palestinians into believing he could defeat Israel. Thats why he got the job.

Things were more stable in the 1980s, but it would have been a difficult, time consuming process. You're right that buying into Arafat was the easiest solution. The fate of Gaza and the West Bank should have been settled in the context of the Egyptian and Jordanian peace treaties, but that would have taken time too, and obviously the Arabs prefer to see the issue fester.
