I just spent the last hour vainly searching for a FReeper satellite photo that shows dozens of dry buses parked at a Super Dome parking lot, a lot full of dry Muni buses mere blocks away, and a dry yard full of school buses 1.2 miles away along a dry route. :( Skipped bookmarking the photo because 10 years of Inet bookmarking now necessitate a need for bookmarks of my bookmarks. :) One of my dreams is to create a webpage that enables data mining of FR. Particularly JPGs.

I believe there probably WERE not any bus drivers available, my guess, the employed were leaving town...maybe he could have assigned deputies from the evacuees and entrust them with a busload of hurricane victems?

And as for the 10,000 bodies, I, too, thought it might raise to that level early on. I guess only the most brilliant amoung us thought that the deaths would end up in the low hundreds. As current reports indicate, anyway.
