Fox News Sunday up now on FNC.
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
Vitter is an unprincipled politician passing out grades of failing to the federal Government, because he's trying to save his own skin and fears backlash from the people of LA.
I dont care if Vitter wasn't granted more time to speak, he's shown himself to be nothing more than a political hack in the other arenas he's been given voice so far. Frankly I think time was better spent humiliating Mary L. then giving him another two minutes to sell out Bush and the Feds again.
Now, as for your other comment, the one about the P&P movie, the answer is no. It will not be a theatrical version of the 1995 mini-series. It is a made-for-the-theater movie starring Dame Judi Dench as Lady Catherine DeBourgh, Donald Sutherland as Mr. Bennet, Brenda Blethyn as Mrs. Bennet, Matthew MacFadyen as Mr. Darcy and Keira Knightley as Elizabeth.

I actually liked the Greer Garson version. Despite its lack of fidelity to the book, I believe it has its own special charm. I especially love the archery scene! I am also a fan of the 1979 BBC version. I watched it during my senior year of college (1981), but it had been shown in the UK on the BBC in 1979.
And lets not forget her aunt Phillis on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans school system
From her senate home page we also have "Sen. Landrieu is married to Frank Snellings, an attorney from Monroe. They have two children, Connor and Mary Shannon. The daughter of former New Orleans Mayor and U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Moon Landrieu and Verna Landrieu, Sen. Landrieu is the eldest of nine siblings and the proud aunt of 36 nieces and nephews."
Oh, and her Senate page also has her As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Landrieu is a strong and effective voice for Louisiana, while bringing her record of fiscal discipline to the committee that approves more than $300 billion in federal discretionary spending annually. From her seat on one of the most powerful panels on Capitol Hill, she fights for Louisianas jobs and economic interests. In addition, she serves on several appropriations subcommittees of great importance to Louisiana, including Agriculture, Labor, Health and Education, and Military Construction.
Military Construction...anything to do with the Corps of Engineers? Y'know, the people who do things like build and maintain levees?
I have had the same feeling about Vitter from the beginning of this and the things he has said...I do wonder how far in deep trouble rep. or dem are in, alot of graft, positions or money from lobbyist...including the enviro's who have hated and helped stop the Corps of engineers for years about the levee's..I feel there is alot more to this.
She was state treasurer for two terms. In a state with a reputation for financial corruption. Oh, the things that a thorough investigation could discover on her...
You are absolutely right. DOJ is already investigating, seizing materials and indicting. This is the perfect way for the good ole boy network to yell "Bush is out to get us because we criticized his response to Katrina". MSM will march behind the Dems lockstep.
The attack on Bush was well orchestrated, too fast with no facts.
Juan demonstrates that he believes what his colleagues at NPR say. He always looked shocked! by Brit's rebuttals. Why doesn't Juan just spend a little time on FR. He would lose the deer in the headlights look if he actually briefed himself. I bet he thinks that reading a Washington Times, or a Weekly Standard or a National Review article would be going over to the dark side.
EXACTLY!!! I have yet to hear of any complaints and /or blaming from Florida, Alabama , or Miss......very telling!!
I am choking here! Does the LA Secretary of State perform a similar function to the FL SoS? No wonder the dems screamed bloody murder about Katherine Harris and the 2000 election. EVERYTHING they accuse the Rs of doing, THEY ARE DOING! I keep forgetting this fact.
The more I read, the more I realize that Louisiana really does make New Jersey, Chicago and Nassau County under Al D'Amato look like amateurs.
I've only seen a brief few minutes of FNC so far, recorded it and watched one segment with the panel first.
McCain's mouthpiece is, as usual, useless. Brit was smacking down Mara and Juan. And Juan tries to say Brit is stuck too much up in the beltway? Brit was the only one NOT spouting Beltway jargon. He came with the facts and humiliated them all. Not only them, but he slammed all reporters in general that don't seem to have a clue what FEMA really is. Took everyone to task in this segment.
I'm really impressed with Brit. Excellent job and he's more than proven the last week he is NOT a member of the elitists in the Beltway that make conventional reality, rather a journalist out for the Truth.
So Sen. Mary Landrieu...I don't think Dean can save you now. Let's see Chris says that she is doing the finger pointing and she says she isn't then she proceeds to blame everything on Regan and Bush and BushII.
Then he asks about the buses and she says they were under water ( yeah AFTER the storm and levee broke ) which Chris points out so she rebuts with not being able to get people in her state to work on a sunny day much less a hurricane....man she is a fool of epic proportions
Talk about fodder for a campaign commercial! Any opponents would be foolish not to use it.
We have it. And we're gonna use it.
Seems to me she only does that when she's thinking of Bill Clinton? Watch out Hillary, maybe another Monica on the prowl?????
I thought Vitter was much more engaged than many here gave him credit for...and Landrieu? She was heinous.
She was politicking like crazy and Chris had had it with her long statements.
She knew she blew it at about the middle when Chris said more than once to her ridiculous bus comment about them being under water, "those buses were not under water on Sat. and Sun."
And her face at the end...that long camera withdrawal from her psycho mug...AMAZING! She was 100% COMPLETELY PISSED! (Poor Mary....shocked that the press in this case was not completely pro-liberal democrat!) hehe
