You dog/cat people sitting back home in your air condition intact houses are more flipped over a homeless animal than a now homeless family who lost all worldly possessions in the storm of the century. The last thing needed in the 90000 square miles of devastation are roving packs of rabies infested wild dogs/cats foraging on whatever, including undiscovered corpses.

Believe me, if they were hunting down those people and shooting them, I think we'd be upset about that too.

And the first thing I would want in that situation is my "Self-Mobile Personal Detection Unit" otherwise known as a 125# Great Pyrenees. He watches over me, my family and my stuff (including guns and horses). If he doesn't like you, neither do I.

If a strawman that huge should topple, the weight would crush you. Be careful man!

Utter horse manure. It's just that unlike some soulless people, we can be concerned about more than one thing at the same time.

Indeed, which is why the not-yet-rabies-infested, not-yet-wild dogs and cats need to be rescued -- and why they *should* have been taken out with the people instead of left behind to become a problem that needed subsequent clean-up.

And some of us have seen some of the people who were left homeless grieving terribly over pets who had to be left behind. For some of these folks, reunion with a beloved pet could give them something to help them carry on. Nothing is gained by destroying these helpless animals. It isn't as if their rescue is taking priority over the rescue of humans. I think this b*st*rd probably just likes killing things.
