I wonder if the police taking the guns are giving receipts to the owners?
It's so disgusting, an obvious attempt to apply leverage to force holdouts to leave, by leaving them defemseless.
Once you are disarmed, you are a govt ward. Get on this bus, march into that holding area. Once disarmed, the govt owns you.
So do the barbarians.
What is happening is exactly what the "tin-foil-hat" folks have been honking about for years. The JBT's come to your door, kick it in, confiscate your weapons and drag you off to a camp. If you resist, well, all bets are off.
No several articles have pointed out that there is no recipt. No "time" for it. Some of these pigs are going to have a nice gun collection with plenty left over to sell to the gangs! I mean who is to say they wern't stolen by someone else?
I have heard from other friends here on FR in direct contact with LEOs and contractors there indicate that the order is not to be on the street with guns. If that is true, then those are two vastly different situations. The latter is understandable in the emergency...the former is blatantly unconstitutional IMHO.
Until I hear specifically, from someone in authority that the LA officials are confiscating guns from owners in their homes as a part of their official order...I will defer to the reports I have heard from others here on FR.
Confiscating guns from the hands of legal residents in their homes or on their property, who are healthy and able to defend their own property...would indeed be blatantly illegal, unconstitutional, and intolerable.
Yet another nail in the coffin of what used to be a wonderful country.
Our Bill of Rights isn't even worth the paper its written on anymore. As we see here (along with the earlier Soviet Court ruling on seizing private property), the state will do whatever it pleases, to whomever it pleases, whenever it pleases.
The new motto of Amerika should be "might makes right". They should start putting that on our fiat currency. Why even pretend this is a free country anymore?
As long ago as when Pharao disarmed the Israelites and as recent as Robert Mugabe's Uganda, the song remains the same. Stand strong, 2A bretheren.
