There's some real masterpieces on that LOS. My favorite is the one about the trial in Huntsville, Alabama of that noble Southron Robin Hood, Frank James.

http://www.leagueofthesouth.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=13&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0

"It didn’t matter if he was innocent or guilty, they weren’t going to convict him.” Frank James may indeed have been “guilty” of breaking Yankee law, but there was a time when good Southerners had the sense to understand the virtue of heroism when it ran up against mere legalism."

I wonder what Mr. LOS thought about the OJ Simpson verdict. But here's the #1 abomination from this article:

But can you imagine how different Frank James’s trial would be today, especially after 11 September 2001, the USA Patriot Act, the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, and on-going wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? I would wager that most Huntsvillians (and Southerners in general) would call old Frank a terrorist rather than a hero. Of course, they would have been well conditioned by the media, their political representatives, and all respectable public opinion to accept the proposition that anyone who confronted and contested the power and authority of the federal government deserved imprisonment and even death. What the Yankees couldn’t do to us in 1884 they can do with apparent ease today."

I wonder if this guy considers Osama as a noble rebel descendant of the anti-Yankee efforts of rebs like Quantrill, Frank James and the Klan. I can see the connection.

I believe if Satan himself agreed to led today's neo-confederates to Lost Cause glory they would willingly follow.

Homeland Security should really be keeping a close eye on this leader of the "L.O.S" and anyone in the leadership. Michael Hill, the President of the L.O.S.is a metally unstable paranoid sicko, with comments like this one:

"What the Yankees couldn’t do to us in 1884 they can do with apparent ease today."

Read what the W.O.S blogmaster thinks of Free Republic. A sample:

"The bloodthirsty posters at “Free Republic” – a name so deceptive and misleading that it borders on the obscene -- worship naked power."

Truth in reporting is always nice.

"Want to see how rickety our republican institutions have become? Go to http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/browse and read the posts from the members of Free Republic.com. The bloodthirsty posters at “Free Republic” – a name so deceptive and misleading that it borders on the obscene -- worship naked power. These people dare the "defeatists" to get in Bush's way as he flexes executive power by ordering wiretaps -- he don't need no stinkin' warrants! They glory in the exercise of American military might, and become positively ecstatic at news reports of Iraqi insurgents being blown away by the US occupation army. At Free Republic, the preferred solution to the continuing resistance to American-style liberation is to kill anyone who so much as questions their liberators." More...

I wonder if the Lost Causers feel they can break the "Yankee laws" of the United States whenever they like, just because they view them as Yankee laws"?

Does it also imply if a hard-core neo-confederate happened to be in New York, Philly or Boston they become lawless?
