What a show! Thanks for posting this; it was well worth the time to go through all the pics, and lends a new perspective to the Katrina story.

Boy does this put a different "picture" to the events! The impression the left wing media gave was a fast major flood and everybody was surprised and trapped. I think a lot of the blacks that didn't leave were afraid of being robbed by their "neighbors". Louisian Democrats are a bunch of whiners. You didn't hear Missippi and Alabama whining, and they got flattened.

Yeah, I urks me also that MSM is focusing mainly on NOLA. Florida, Mississippi and Alabama had way more damage, yet you see very little of it.

Exactly. Yet all we here from the blowhards is how slow the government was slow to respond. These photo's tell a different story.

also, go to www.supertalkms.com it is the homepage of a talk radio station in Jackson, MS with affiliates all over the state. They have some real good photos on their homepage. Not a lot of them, but some real good ones.

Thank you.
I debated putting it in Breaking News to maximize the exposure but couldn't justify it to myself that it was truly "Breaking" News. I also convinced myself that if others thought such was warranted they would do exactly as you have done.

"I think he said Venezualan," "Nicaraguan."
There's a difference?
To: Max Flatow
You'd have to take that up with the Venezuelans, the Nicaraguans, or both.

The photos are gone....
I was able to see them last weekend though and they were truly amazing! If you find them again, will you ping me?
Thanks!

I came across this thread that I had saved. That picture essay was great. I wanted to see them again but I didn’t save them. Anybody know how to retrieve the pictures?

Unfortunately, the pics were gone 2 days after being posted. They were some of the very best I saw and it broke my heart that they went away before I could snag them.

Maybe the person who posted them will read this thread and post them again. It was the best documentation of Katrina I ever saw.
