Has anyone considered that the death toll is really very large, and the government is covering it up?

For what good could it be? For every pic of a dead hurricane victim, there's a poster screaming BUSH DID THIS TO POOR BLACK PEOPLE.

That statement (the right to bear arms) does not mean you can own a gun Please tell us what you think it means. Can't wait.

After the Galveston TX 1900 hurricane, Kodiak fiends (love that word they had for MSM pimps of the era) were shot dead on the spot by the militia and police for taking pictures of the nude dead.
I assumed that they found drowned women who were attractive and then undressed/posed them. Hence, Kodak fiends, i.e. pornographers.

Has anybody gone to that court to get a restraining order on account of the Second Amendment?
That's what I keep wondering. Or some of these people getting the ACLU to get a restraining order on the mayor to stop the forcible evacuations.

Basically it's called documentation. And we as US citizens should demand that. Wouldn't be a bad idea to show the dead returning to Dover AFB either.
You have a point. Several of us have had concerns about how many of these corpses have bullet holes in them.
I have no objection to showing body bags. I think CNN knows better than to show the faces or easily identifiable features on national TV. That would get them sued and make the viewers very angry.

Any one unauthorized caught with a camera was treated the same as looters. Placed against the nearest wall or debris pile and unceremoniously shot out of hand.
The MSM are no different than ghouls in NO, they are there not to record, they are there to exploit the dead for their own sick agenda.

What was that lawyer down in FL involved in the starvation case? This must be part of his ghoulish education conferred to the media, and they believe it. Death is beautiful and all that.

NOW we know why Blanco won't declare martial law. The press would have to leave if they did. But the Dem plan is for them to show all the people Bush's drowning, starving, dehydrated victims.

That's an excellent, and very insightful, point. There really are some important issues here pertaining to government cover-up of how many of the dead were actually murdered. The hard left, notably the London newspaper The Guardian, is already starting to cover up the extent of mayhem that took place at both the Convention Center and Superdome. Eyewitness accounts from those one the scene, including some NO Times-Picayune reporters, tell a very different story.
Simply put, it is clearly in the interest of the pols and bureaucrats to make it appear as if things really hadn't descended into anarchy. If they can spin the story so that most victims died of drowning, instead of dehydration or murder, they look that much better. Blanco and Nagin would have a more difficult time getting re-elected if the news got out that there were all sorts of murders and rapes due to their gross malfeasance and incompetence. It also works to the advantage of DHS and FEMA bureaucrats who likely shipped any number of pathological criminals to other locales across the USA at taxpayer expense, where they will undoubtedly use the taxpayer-funded debit cards to begin their evil enterprises in new locales across the fruited plain.
Independent parties need to document what happened. It can be done the way it was two centuries ago - in ink. There's not a need for graphic detail apart from photos taken to back up what is being written. A reputable journalistic organization would take tons of photos of the dead, to be sure. After the story was published - without all of the ghoulish imagery, such photos would be archived in a safe place where the criminal class in "public service" would have no access a la Sandy Berger.

Does CNN have mine detectors? I wonder how many it would take for CNN to learn a lesson?
