What a stupid remark for her to make!! They are already talking about changing the law so the President CAN intervene in situations like this!

You will never hear them say thank you.
That does not mean that thousands of people who had a microphone and a camera thrust into their faces in the midst of a devastating tragedy, and who poured out their hearts and voiced a heart rending "thank you" to their fellow citizens will ever be aired on the MSM.
It just means you will never see or hear it, on the MSM.
If you have never been subjected to MSM "reporters" on a "story", you have no conception of exactly how hard they "bend" the facts.
The MSM will interview 100 people, but will only show those who best support the storyline the MSM have decided they want to follow. The MSM is not interested in facts, they are just glorified soap opera writer wannabees.
Truth and facts be damned!

Good Evening Potlatch...Yep, lots of loose lip service out there that buffalo people that don't understand FEMA law. My fears are, the worst is yet come. The people working, and living in the New Orleans poop are being subjected to everything in the CDC book. The liabilities will be endless.

The liabilities will be endlessI hate to even hear about that. That could bankrupt Louisiana and I hate to see the Federal government sued. Don't know what the laws are about that.

>>> All together now, let's hear it: "Thank you President Bush, thank you Harry Connick Jr., thank you police and firemen and National Guardsmen and members of the Red Cross and Salvation Army and all you other heroes." <<<
Thank you, Michael. But don't forget to thank Cherkoff, Brown, Honore, and their organizations, the DHS, FEMA and the DOD.

I'm sure some greedy lawyer is searching case law, right now, even before the water is drained.

Thank you President Bush for getting up in the morning to face a new day of hatred spewed at you by the left. You've got more guts than most of us and more class in your little finger than I have in my whole body! May God continue to bless you, Mr. President!

"....But a closer look at charitable giving in the United States shows the poorest states give the most. As a percentage of income, giving is highest in states where the average household income is lowest -- states like Mississippi, Arkansas and Oklahoma, according to a Christian Science Monitor report on the Catalogue for Philanthropy's Generosity Index for 2004.
On the other hand, states known for high incomes like Connecticut, New Jersey and Massachusetts rank near the bottom in charitable giving rates. The Monitor noted the states that give the most correlate to the red states -- those who voted for George W. Bush in the last election -- while the states that give the least are the blue ones that voted for John Kerry. The color pattern has continued each year since the index began keeping track in 1997...."
