Ok, I read the David Parker fact sheet. I have a question why does he not take his child / ren out of school and home school.
It is not giving up, it is saving his child / ren.
If true as started, I am disgusted.
I was involved for years in the San Lorenzo Valley School District (Santa Cruz County) over fights with these egomaniac administrators over issues of race and homosexuality.
We had one teacher at the high school who decorated a Christmas tree with condoms, as an in your face gesture because I was able with the help of my friend on the education parent committee to stop the distribution of condoms on campus.
I understand the fight. The first concern needs to be for the safety of his child / ren. They will be punished. Fortunately my child was able to stand up to these bullies because she knew the California State Educations laws as well as or better than the school district.
Alright, to long ... I'll shut up now.

That is the exact statement made by many on the other side, the ones who talk about "inclusive" schools and "welcoming all children" (see the article about the rally). These are PUBLIC schools that are financed by TAXPAYER dollars (including David Parker's). What the rest of the country doesn't realize is that this is a historic occasion where on the hallowed grounds of Lexington, MA, birthplace of American liberty, new patriots are taking a stand against this new tyranny foisted on parents and kids by those who would use the schools to foist their own views on everyone. All David Parker asked for was the notification and option to shield his child from discussions of sexuality, which just so happens to be the law. Not everyone can home school or put their kids in private school. More than that, people need to fight back, for their kids sakes, and for ALL kids. There are so many uninformed people on the sidelines that take for truth what they read in the papers or see/hear in the media.

We must fight for our rights:

help support the fight! Or it will be on your doorstep next.

I believe he feels that leaving will not fix or bring much needed attention to the problem. His child would be safe, but what about all the others whose parents may not know.
