*** BABY ALEX UPDATE***
September 19th
Well little Alex (and his Mommy and Daddy) had a REALLY rough day.
He had 3 MAJOR MEDICAL "things" today..
An X-Ray...which is really hard on everyone because they have to tightly strap him down.
An EKG...which is apparently not too bad...but very long.
And he had to have a new "line" put in for IV nutrition because there was some question about if his "insides" were tolerating everything like they should be.
So...Mommy and Daddy kept Alex as calm as possible as they ended up putting the line in his head.
I can only imagine how painful that would be as a parent (and a baby).
In addition to that, Alex is just getting his nutrition from the IV for now...just to make sure everything is fine.
He was one hungry baby...also VERY hard on Mommy and Daddy AND ALEX!.
So...all in all, the tests had positive results and there is STILL a possibility that he could come home tomorrow.
What a whirlwind week they have all had.
Thanks again from Renee and Kirk for the continued good wishes and prayers!
I will keep everyone updated as I know more...

Oh, boy, for thise of us who have only agonized through our childrens' shots, I can only begin to imagine. I'm sure little Alex can feel the love that surrounds him. Hang in there, mom and dad.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that Your healing hand rests upon this precious baby. Sustain this little one, and his beloved parents, unto the time when his medical team gives the joyous news that Baby Alex can go home. Thank You for the good reports from the multiple tests ... thank You that the little guy is so very hungry. May it be, Merciful Father, that You would cause every aspect of his body to be in true harmony, that he might prosper and grow, to the delight of all those who love him. How great Your care, O God, and how tender Your mercy. Blessed be Your Name forever and ever, Amen ...

Just in case it makes anyone feel any better it is actually less painful for a tiny baby to have the line put on the head than anywhere else on the body. (I had a little one that had to have a line in her head).

When TheBoy was two he had a serious accident that required him to have emergency surgery. While in the hospital he caught some strange virus - doc's did not know what it was. They took blood from that baby five days in a row. The last time they took blood, TheBoy was crying & begging, 'Daddy, don't let them hurt me again'. Before I left the area (to cry), Eaker grabbed the phlebotomist by the arm and told him this was the last time they were taking blood, so make sure they got enough!
This is minor compared to what Renee & Kirk are going through. My heart goes out to them, and I will continue to say a prayer for their peace of heart. Of course, I will pray for the quick recovery & ability to go home for baby Alex.

I have to share that I have a really good feeling about little Alex, MOsby. For some reason I just know this is a blip on the radar screen. I'll keep on praying, but my bet is that he'll go home Wednesday if he can get off the feeding tube tomorrow. I hope for Mom and Dad's comfort level, that I'm right and that all will work out tomorrow!
And No, I am not in the know... it's just my gut feeling. If I'm wrong, I promise to "double" pray tomorrow night! ;-)

Little Alex...you can do this! You can beat all of this that the adults are insisting you go through. :)
These are doctors and nurses and your parents who care for you and you alone. You just hang on...look up every now and then, you TOO will see your own angels like Logan did. We love you Alex. You, your parents and your AuntiM0sby!!!
YOU GO ALEX!!!!!
