The Administration just admitted all responsibility for the local problems in Louisiana with this move. I truly don't know if the man was FUBAR or not. Certainly the LA people are and they are off the hook now.
You mean the pols? Why, has Congress granted them immunity?
How does this take LA off the hook? This was a series of events that boils down to one thing: evacuations that didn't take place.
This is the Feds saying to LA, "okay, you next".
Well I certainly don't agree that officials in LA should be off the hook. What they did was criminal. Elderly in nursing homes should not have been left to drown by those idiots in charge in LA. I do think that either Michael Brown is inept, which doesn't seem to make much sense seeing how he handled the hurricanes in Florida, or, it was more of a priority to take care of Florida than it was Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana.
Hardly. The may have accepted responsibility for their portion of the blame which is more than the Dems are doing. The guy had to go. Bad enough that he did poor job. But then to have to defend him for lying to get the job. No way Jose. Get a real manager in there with command authority. All lawyers do is look for ways to cover their asses.
