No one is talking about the marvelous job FEMA's done in Mississippi.
To: Ed_in_NJ
Yes, what's with Pelosi running at the mouth last night that she didn't know anything about a bipartisan panel to investigate the disaster when she was in the meeting and also discussed it with Hastert?
Hastert was asked this on WLS Chicago this AM and he said she knew and he can't understand why she is now saying she didn't know.

Why? The idiot Brown is a political hack, a lawyer to boot, with no qualifications for the position and no record of success at anything. But if you feel there is a need for mediocracy in upper levels of government just because so many Americans are mediocre, than I understand.

Yeah, when you say you were a "supervisor" when in fact you were an assistant intern to a supervisor,...well....you better perform when the day comes.

"Sept. 9, 2005 Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Michael Brown, under criticism due to his management of Hurricane Katrina as well as reported discrepancies on his resume, is expected to be out as head of the agency very soon, informed sources have told ABC News."
However, the Bush administration continued to support Brown today as President Bush did on his first visit to the scene of Hurricane Katrina.

Bush would not have thrown Brown to the wolves if there was not a legitimate problem with the guy's resume/integrity.
We have to take this punch, and move on to the next battle.

Blanco has two jobs in this. From above, #2 was not to embarrass the Democrats. She failed.
#1 is to no matter the cost, even if it involves losing human lives, make sure that the blame or exposure never even comes close to falling on the corrupt Dems in various local Louisiana offices who put her in office. If one is looking for other guilty parties in all of this, there they are. It's about the only success she's had.

Fox is saying he will be removed from the Emergency Operations Center and replaced by someone else (REMOVED FROM KATRINA RELIEF ONLY). THIS IS JUST AN INITIAL REPORT FROM AP, FOX SAID. Hmmm. Can you say, strategery? He can't be the focus of the dems' wrath if he's not involved. Who will the libs scream at now?

What are you trying to do, ruin the "fun" for the MSM and the Dems with facts?
What I want to see is an 'investigation' into the press' "dereliction" during this storm.
They have insinuated themselves into this story as judge, jury, and the only people with the truth.
I hate them all.......and yes, even "our" guys, starting with Joe Scarborough.

Breaking on the west coast. Many are saying he's going to step down.

43 is notoriously loyal. If Brown's out, it's because he screwed up. And 43's going to hold him accountable. Apparently Bush was serious when he said that the federal response was unacceptable. I suspect that Brown's head was already on the platter at that point. I also suspect that Bush had determined to replace him even before the Dems started asking for his head.
I hadn't heard Bush defending the federal response up to this point. That did not bode well for those who were in charge.

Now being reported an Admiral Allen will take over- a Coast Guard guy with lots of experience...
Brown not canned- so far.
