Why? The idiot Brown is a political hack, a lawyer to boot, with no qualifications for the position and no record of success at anything. But if you feel there is a need for mediocracy in upper levels of government just because so many Americans are mediocre, than I understand.
Good point. How many of us would honestly feel comfortable with this guy in charge of disaster preparedness if our town was the target of a WMD terrorist attack. I say can the guy and get someone in there with years of disaster preparedness experience. Make Brown the ambassador of Assscratchistan or something but get him the hell out of that position.
This will be portrade as an admission that Bush is incompetent in his political acumen. This is the very fuel the democrats want to accellerate and foment their criticism to a fevered pitch we have not yet seen. It will creat diversion from the real despots, Nagan and Blanco, and possibly others. They should have kept Brown in place where is in the hurricane areas and delegated his responsibilities to a logistial military expert. Axing Brown at a later date when the smoke clears would have been a better plan.
