'THE BIG BOO' CROWD HISSES KANYE WEST Fri Sep 09 2005 10:30:28 ET
The chart topping hip hop rapper star who used a network hurricane fundraiser to charge "George Bush doesn't care about black people" was loudly and lustily booed during last night's NFL kickoff show.
The appearance of Kanye West, who was beamed into the Boston stadium via remote from Los Angeles, received a strongly negative response from the crowd.
"The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number," reports the BOSTON GLOBE.

Was he too chicken to show up in person? The marketing morons at the NFL did a "compromise" where west would be not be there, but still "particpate".
As usual it blew up in the NFL marketing morons faces.

Say, any truth to the rumor that you're going to be covering "Singing In The Rain"?LOL! Actually, the scuzz can't sing. He does hip-hop, which is really just a tricked up method of doing rap. And rap is nothing more than speaking 3rd-grade-level rythmn and rhyme. It all sounds exactly the same. None of it is singing. All of it is just a way to glorify inner-city street thugs and their "culture."

Don't you just love it when people like this Good Charlotte's Joel Madden completely change the subject by defending West's right to say what he said, as if anyone is arguing that he doesn't have that right?
The questions are whether or not you agree that Bush 'doesn't care about black people', and if ostensibly non-political telethons are the proper place to voice such political statements.
That he has the right to say it is not in question.

I was at the game. He was booed though I wouldn't describe it as overwhelming. He was one of the opening acts so many people were being seated while he rapped away.
At halftime, there was a swearing in ceremony for new Army National Guard personnel. after the ceremony, "God Bless the USA" was played which got a big hand.
Foxboro incidentally is a fairly conservative town. The local state rep, who just passed away, was a solid R (always voted for tax cuts, against gay marriage etc.)
