Exclusive report from the Today's Comment blog: some Internet posters advocated riot in the Chinatown of New York City.
This happened after a border officer was found not guilty Thursday of beating a Chinese tourist.
The advocating message in Chinese was posted on Chinese Media Net, a major Chinese news website located in the New York City area. As of the publishing time, the messages in Chinese can still be accessed on the original webpage: http://blog.chinesenewsnet.com/?p=1626. The screen shot can also be viewed at http://tocom.blogspot.com.
The message was posted by a handler, "Flushing Resident". The translation of the message reads:
Let's start a riot in Flushing (the new Chinatown of New York City)! The Chinese representative (of New York) should lead us to destroy the police cars.
Another poster commented:
It's better to have this cop killed indeed! How can it be justified to beat the woman?

I would not auume that the writer of this criminal drivel is an immigrant. The Flushing Chinatown has been growing since the early sixties and most 'new' arrivals are way too busy to find time for this type of activity. My bet is some second generation American born Xer college bozo.
... uh, so? one or two keyboard cowboys talking smack does not a riot make.
Thanks for the ping
No. 2nd generation American mostly speak English and if they do speak Chinese, most won't be able to write it.
Don't know where you live but there are a lot of second and third generation Chinese in my area who still read/write the mother tongue.
