Tens of thousands of illegal immigrants live in the hardest-hit areas, although nobody knows exactly how many. Jeffrey Passel of the Pew Hispanic Center gave a conservative estimate of 20,000 to 35,000 in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

Mexican President Vicente Fox appealed to one of the largest illegal populations in the devastated region with messages in English and Spanish, urging them to seek help from Mexican consulates or U.S. rescue workers

9/11 to Iraq to Illegal immigration and now this storm..No news organization has shown itself as worthy of Our time or trust with Fox the best of the bunch but far from perfect..I wonder how many FR's are as turned off by our News industry as I am..Katrina seems to have hit a new low in reporting and I just have stopped watching coverage or reading reports..the MSM is just so much agenda driven slime that it is too disgusting to pay any attention to.

Some lawmakers said the president should have sought Senate approval for sending troops, but the government already was planning another 12-vehicle aid convoy for later this week. It has sent a Mexican navy ship toward the Mississippi coast with rescue vehicles and helicopters.

When it comes to Bush and Mexico there are no rules Bush feels the need to follow. Just let them in. Maybe Bush feels guilty about our having thrown them out of the United States a hundred or so years ago.

Illegal immigrants should get no aid, they should be deported. Why aid terrorist, drug dealers, pedophiles, and other foreign criminals? Our people should come first.
