Adding fuel to the fire was a story on FOX last week that Nagin emptied the jails of all criminals when the hurricane hit. Is it any wonder that we had animals killing cops in the first few days ? I have looked for this story on google and it pops up no where. If someone can verify this story it would be hugh !

The jails were emptied, cuz the jails were flooding, but they weren't emptied on to the streets. Currently, the city's transit (bus) or Amtrack station is acting as the NO "jail". Also, I think some prisoners were put on to some ship of some kind.
