Unnamed staff almost stepped into the Dem trap.

It was still a trap set by the dems. Thank God Bush is surrounded with intelligent staff, this could have led to a major political mess(worse than it is).

From all that we have been reading, the accounts from people who were there to the statements by the Red Cross and Salvation Army about Blanco not allowing help into the city...thereby allowing starvation and dehydration to escalate the horrid situation...a cruelty I have yet to understand on the part of the governor...it seems to me that one of the dems down there who has been in on this effort to subvert help and keep it away from the suffering folks will surely crack under the guilt.

You cannot keep a timeline like this horrific timeline secret for long.

Yes, and if he had fallen for the dems trap, we'd be watching impeachment hearings instead of confirmation hearings next week. (or when ever Robert's hearings are scheduled for)
