What to do when such devices work better than real organs. Will they recommend replacement or force it on your kids? Why not? And will Medicaid cover it?

Well, having lost one kidney to cancer, I tend to worry a lot about the one I have left (would that the redundency factor carried over to really vital organs like livers, but that's another issue). This is pretty good news. I might have a backup plan if Mr. Left Side goes punk on me.
