Haven't read thru all the responses so someone (perhaps many) may have come to my conclusion ... this story is going nowhere in the liberal MSM. Reason ... you have a female 'Rat governor and a black 'Rat mayor ... the two key people in this unfolding tragedy. The liberal MSM will never hold them accountable ... no matter how incompetent and egregious their leadership.

Every state will now be required to sign a Blanco clause to prevent this type of Governor INCOMPETENCE in the future.

The radio had a story of how LA is SUCKING ALL THE RESOURCES to the detriment of AL and Miss.

There should be a MASSIVE fraud probe of LA.

Those Levy Boards should be the FIRST to be abolished.

Garrett received confirmation from senior Salvation Army officials in Washington, D.C. that the Salvation Army's efforts at supplying the evacuees were also repeatedly blocked.

Have you see this one?

It is looking more and more like the Dems deliberately sacrificed NO and hordes of it's citizens for political reasons. Maybe we need to get some Navy Seals out there to see if those holes in the levee were the result of natural forces.

All CNN has to do

This was first heard in an interview of the Red Cross President on the Larry King Show on 9/2.

I would be interested to know how the Red Cross and the Salvation Army fared in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. Were they able to get in as soon as it was clear to do so? Was there any obstructions from any level of government? It would be interesting to compare the time lines to what happened in Louisiana.

Can anyone say "conspiracy to cover up a crime", or how about "the democratic party is dead"

Sean was just on a roll on this subject with Jessie Jackson and Jessie came back saying Homeland Security said RC couldn't go in.... Sean must not know it was STATE homeland security, not Federal Homeland Security -- DARN!!!! We had an opening and Sean dropped the ball.

The U.S. Attorney General should appoint a special prosecutor. It looks like the Governor of Louisiana conspired with others to commit criminal negligence that resulted in death at the Superdome, the Convention Center, and the I-10 overpass.

You know, I keep a little bit of old newspaper laying around for things like eating steamed crabs and I went back and picked out the front section to my local paper from August 28 and in it was the warning of the pending hurricane Katrina. In a quote by Mayor Nagin he said

"The Superdome might be used as a shelter of last resort for people who have no cars, with city bus pickup points around New Orleans"

The point I would like to make from that quote is he intended to use the buses per his own statement and he didn't. Somewhere between that statement and the end result of the buses not being used a decision was made about the buses. These buses didn't just get overlooked as an escaped route for the people trapped in the city.

Lamestream Press is ever more lame. ...And the good thing is, more and more people are seeing it., including a growing number of African Americans.

The Dems' Plantation Boat is leaking,
....and the Donkey party is freaking.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette ran a story on September 3rd which said the Red Cross was stopped by FEMA. I wrote the the author and pointed out that it was the STATE homeland security department that stopped them, and that they said so on their web site. This is the response I got:

While the Louisianna Homeland Security may also have a role in this, the Red Cross officials that I spoke to clearly said that FEMA was not allowing them to go in. The F in FEMA stands for Federal, and FEMA is a branch of the national Department of HOmeland Security.
Sincerely,

There was an article in the Wallstreet Journal today about NO called "Old-Line Families Escape Worst of Flood And Plot the Future". Mash here

Here are the relevant paragraphs:

He says he has been in contact with about 40 other New Orleans business leaders since the storm. Tomorrow, he says, he and some of those leaders plan to be in Dallas, meeting with Mr. Nagin to begin mapping out a future for the city.

The power elite of New Orleans -- whether they are still in the city or have moved temporarily to enclaves such as Destin, Fla., and Vail, Colo. -- insist the remade city won't simply restore the old order. New Orleans before the flood was burdened by a teeming underclass, substandard schools and a high crime rate. The city has few corporate headquarters.

The new city must be something very different, Mr. Reiss says, with better services and fewer poor people. "Those who want to see this city rebuilt want to see it done in a completely different way: demographically, geographically and politically," he says. "I'm not just speaking for myself here. The way we've been living is not going to happen again, or we're out."

Sorry, Nancy Pelosi, no independent commission for you. All you'd do is cover up for the Democrats, and trash Bush. Jamie Gorelick and Richard Ben Veniste send their regrets, but they won't be there this time.

Appears the mayor and governor were trying to keep huricane victims from getting help for whatever reason.I keep thinking there may be a link between this, and the contractors who were shot while trying to cross the bridge earlier in the week.5 or 6 perps were shot and killed. They seemed very determined to keep those contractors out.Stikes me as odd
